239 Arhat Saṅghabhaṭṭa (Sāgata)
The wheel of time carries all beings forward, and who can escape this process from birth to death? Even so, some still toil bitterly for fame, profit, and peace, exhausting their minds and energy.
For those who receive this verse, do not exhaust yourself scheming for fame and profit. One should know that from birth to death, one's time is not unlimited, and fame and profit are not brought into life or taken away at death. It is better to be content and do more good deeds; sometimes fame and peace will come without striving.
