283 Arhat Pūrṇa (Wealthy)
One plants trees for later generations to enjoy the shade; one plants fruits for later generations to taste. There is no need to be overly concerned about who cultivates and who harvests, for success and failure, gains and losses, are already predetermined by cause and effect.
For those who receive this verse, one puts in more effort but gains less. In fact, often one can only think about how to contribute, and does not need to think about how to gain. The process of effort itself is a harvest. This is what is meant by valuing the process over the result, which is also the happiest mindset for a laborer.
