Cattle and horses, without understanding, submit and serve, toiling day and night, very hard. All beings have lives; one should be compassionate, not kill, to avoid reincarnation as an animal.

For those who receive this verse, one is driven by life, busy making a living. One should transcend this, lay down burdens, only then will one not waste this life in confusion. Moreover, one should do good deeds and accumulate virtue, not kill, not do evil, to avoid becoming an animal again in the next life and being unable to transcend.
