329 Arhat Guṇadharma (Wonderful Dharma of Virtue)
Do not lament that human hearts are treacherous and not as pure as in ancient times. Animals, though unaware of fathers, still know their mothers. Emulate Heaven and Earth; being cultured and reasonable, loyal, filial, benevolent, and righteous are worth a thousand pieces of gold.
For those who receive this verse, one has been deceived or slandered and wishes to retaliate. In fact, there is no need. One should believe that although human hearts may not be entirely pure, most people still have a conscience. Therefore, you should treat others with tolerance and uphold etiquette and righteousness. Such conduct is actually more precious than a thousand pieces of gold.
