348 Arhat Puṇyakṣaya (Eliminating Karma)


Life's path is rugged and winding, and one's will can easily be worn down, and resistance to temptation will gradually decrease. If one wishes to keep their mind firm and remain calm, one should wholeheartedly cultivate Buddhism and do good deeds.


For those who receive this verse, one has not been smooth, and is somewhat disheartened. In fact, everyone experiences hardships and trials. But some become stronger with each setback, entirely because their goals are clear, their resolve is firm, and they know how to gain wisdom and experience through tempering, thus strengthening themselves and increasing the possibility of success.
