351 Arhat Akāśa (Understanding Emptiness)
Did the fallen flowers intend it or not? Probably not. The flowing water seems heartless, yet it seems to have feelings. Performances on stage follow one after another. As the saying goes, the actors are mad, the audience are fools. The audience loses track of time and space, thinking they are characters in the play, experiencing joy and sorrow.
For those who receive this verse, one needs to recognize their position in life and maintain a clear mind regarding the matters faced, not being misled by superficial appearances. If deeply immersed, things will be unclear, and principles hard to discern. At this time, one might as well step back and observe as an outsider, or ask for guidance from a clear-sighted person, which might lead to an awakening.
