038 Arhat Subhūti (Understanding All Things)
To understand clearly the ways of Heaven and Earth, and to see through worldly affairs, enables one to live peacefully amidst the defilements of the world or when catastrophe strikes. A wise person is not burdened by fame and fortune, and a person with a clear conscience can enjoy a long life.
For those who receive this verse, one may have already perceived the outcome of what one seeks, but finds it difficult to let go of attachment. One should know that if one faces all things wisely and maintains one's integrity, one will not be burdened by fame and fortune. A life lived with a clear conscience can also lead to a long life.
