387 Arhat Anantakarunā (Endless Compassion)

Reading can lead to knowledge of etiquette and righteousness; farming can yield grain. A person who understands etiquette has noble character; a diligent person lives long and is rarely ill.

For those who receive this verse, one is surely lazy in reading in daily life, neglects etiquette, and is ignorant of great life principles. At the same time, one is inherently lazy and languid, perhaps even ill. If one can change their ways, turn over a new leaf, and work diligently, their life state will change from then on.
