389 Arhat Nāradatta (Nārada)
A forced melon is not sweet; matters done under duress are not to be done. If it is not one's own need, outsiders can hardly force it upon them. When water flows, a channel forms; all things follow karmic conditions. Therefore, if one insists on forcing things, one will surely suffer worries.
For those who receive this verse, one should relax and follow one's heart, conforming to heavenly principles. All worldly matters have causes and effects. One should carefully examine the reasons. Do not do things that violate natural laws, and do not do things that go against heavenly principles. Then worries can be resolved, and misfortunes can be dispelled.
