Small grasses, pressed under a large stone, can only grow in a winding way; small birds, confined in a cage, can only chirp sadly and timidly. This is because such living environments violate their respective natures. Humans, as the spirit of all creatures, should even more follow their natural inclinations.

For those who receive this verse, one is surely acting against their will, being suppressed or forced by external forces or oneself to do things reluctantly. Such a life makes it difficult to feel the joy of living. If it is for fame or profit, one might endure for a while; if one is weak-willed and coerced, that is foolish. Instead of imprisoning one's nature, it is better to sing "Return Home."
