411 Arhat Mahāprabhāva (Great Mighty Light)

Foxes are often praised for their cunning intelligence, but their fur is often sold by hunters. Even with countless schemes, one cannot contend with natural laws and the trends of the times. Therefore, it is most appropriate to be content with one's duties.

For those who receive this verse, one is self-important and loves to show off, lacking great wisdom and ability, but loves to use petty cleverness. However, even if one succeeds temporarily, it is difficult to succeed for a lifetime. One should be honest in dealing with the world, sincere in treating others, content with one's lot, and act practically.
