429 Arhat Mahādharmakāya (Great Dust Obstacle)

Do not refrain from good deeds just because they are small. Doing good is about accumulation. Only by doing many good deeds can one receive divine protection and have smooth and peaceful affairs. If one waits until disaster strikes to hastily embrace the Buddha, it is an opportunistic act, and Heaven will not respond, nor will Buddha.

For those who receive this verse, one should cultivate good thoughts and perform good deeds. When a person does a good deed, Heaven knows it; when one does an evil deed, people remember it. Therefore, one should have a Buddha-heart and treat the world with compassion. Then, interpersonal relationships will surely be good, and help will come in times of difficulty.
