480 Arhat Mārakṣaya (Breaking the Enemy Thief)
A person's fortune, blessing, and safety have their past causes and conditions. Cultivating virtue and accumulating good deeds will not be in vain. It can make one's life complete and make descendants prosperous and abundant.
For those who receive this verse, one should remember the Buddhist precept, "Do no evil, do all good." Take the cultivation of virtue and advancement as a lifelong endeavor, always doing good and accumulating virtue. Worldly retribution is all cultivated by oneself and should not be taken lightly. Compassionate good deeds will surely benefit oneself, family, and descendants.
