485 Arhat Saṃghabhadra (Gathering the Hearts of the Multitude)

The raging fire forges Bodhidharma's firm will ; the deep mountain forest restrains and controls the hearts of the Rākṣasa demons. When the unrestrained mind is correctly guided and disciplined, it naturally achieves true realization.

For those who receive this verse, Buddhism teaches that everything is created by the mind , and cultivation especially requires taming our minds. As the saying goes, 'three points like stars, a horizontal groove like a slanted moon'. From this, one gains outer form, and from this, one becomes a Buddha.
