493 Arhat Samādhisiddha (Attaining Fixed Concentration)
The clear fragrance and robustness of spring orchids and autumn chrysanthemums in a greenhouse are inferior to those of the lilies in deep mountains and secluded valleys. Cherishing one's natural essence and removing artificiality can prolong life and prevent disasters and hardships.
For those who receive this verse, when facing the complex and diverse worldly affairs, one cannot see clearly, feels disheartened, and lacks the courage and confidence to venture forth, preferring to "hide in a small building." One cannot learn to swim without entering the water, nor run without walking on the ground. One should actively engage in society and undergo tempering to walk one's path in life well.
